Nourishment with the Seasons: Summer Salsa Workshop at Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust's Center at Helfand Farm with Kate Shafto, MD.

This interactive workshop will focus on the value of local food for both human and environmental health. Through exploring our food’s story, participants will grow an appreciation of the nutritional, community and ecological benefits which come from locally-sourced food – which centers the importance of soil health and its relationship to the gut microbiome. The session will include an opportunity for participants to create a simple salsa with seasonal, local ingredients, hand-make tortillas, and experience a brief practice of mindful eating with the fresh food we’ll make together.
